Ingredients:

• One box of yellow cake mix
• Two cans of the same kind of your favorite fruit/pie filling (apple, blueberry, peach, blackberry and cherry are the common ones used)
• 3-4 sticks of butter
• 2-3 cups of chopped or sliced almonds
• 1 capful of almond extract (use the cap from the bottle)
• Cinnamon

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Mix two cans of your favorite fruit in a bowl with one capful of almond extract. Use the same kind of fruit. Once thoroughly mixed, dump the fruit into a disposable aluminum baking pan (approximate size 9 inches by 11 inches). Next, evenly dump or spread out your box of yellow cake mix on top of the fruit. Do not mix it up. You just want to level the cake mix with a fork or a butter knife. Thinly slice three sticks of butter and place the slices on top of the cake mix (you may need to get into the fourth stick). Again, do not stir — you just want to layer the butter across the top of the cake mix. After your layer of sliced butter, evenly dump and spread out your almonds on top and sprinkle with cinnamon. Place your pan in the oven and bake for approximately 50-55 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and firm. Let cool, serve and enjoy!
